A Performer

Mr. Grouchypants (who is the husband of a friend) had this link on this blog to Typealyzer, a site that runs a personality test on blogs. According to the site, my blog is a Performer!

The entertaining and friendly type. They are especially attuned to pleasure and beauty and like to fill their surroundings with soft fabrics, bright colors and sweet smells. They live in the present moment and don´t like to plan ahead – they are always in risk of exhausting themselves.

The enjoy work that makes them able to help other people in a concrete and visible way. They tend to avoid conflicts and rarely initiate confrontation – qualities that can make it hard for them in management positions.

This description does not describe me in any shape or form (nor did the results for Mr. Grouchypants describe him), but I wonder if that’s because I’m a different person on my blog than I am in real life? I don’t try to be someone different here, but I could see where perhaps a different side of me comes out in my blog posts than the side of me that functions in society.

For example, “Live in the present moment and don’t like to plan ahead” — yeah right! I live in a calendar (6 of them, to be exact) and have to work really hard to be spontaneous and not get mad about it. I live for structure! But on my blog I don’t have to be so planned and organized and the nature of a blog lends itself to spontaneous posts, like this one. Ten minutes ago, I had no idea I would be writing this post or what it would say. How’s that for spontaneous!?!
